Ouch, £64 and you need a PC as a host.
Still I'm sure many people are hoping Satan Santa will leave one under the tree for them. |

If it did not the need a PC as a host and could work standalone that would be a very interesting piece of kit.
I think its a good concept and if you keep your retro gear near a PC it could be very useful. |

Yeah, it does not seem too comfortable...
EDIT: maybe this one will be better, when ready: http://hxc2001.free.fr/floppy_drive_...Floppyemulator |

i agree whole-heartedly on this one. I'd love one of these, but not with the connected PC still being required, some of us dont use a PC for anything but work

floppy emulator
Hi mazin kaesra the link you put on your post is very interesting and seems to be a good one but still you would need a pc in order to use it for getting the software on to the sd card were as the floppy emulator your using the pc as a big storage device and loading straight off there oppose to swapping sd cards? I do this with the nintendo wii and the homebrew channel but it can be a pain taking the sd card out of the wii to take to the pc and then back again There is a good amiga emulator for the wii homebrew channel
what ever you do these days with retro computers and consoles you need a pc! |

It is complete but not in production. (Yet?)
Hope they take my advice on PCB layout & form factor and make them the same size as a 3.5" FDD then they can be a 100% replacement physically for an FDD. |
