ClassicWb Add-ons
Hi Bloodwych,
I would like to help you with something, for instance I noticed in WinUAE that IconBeFast 1.14 curiously gives much better results on screens with few disposable colors or pens, than version 1.16. If you want you could see it to include that version in ClassicWB if you are not using it already. And, in my inter webs I found some programs mainly from cover disks, some of these programs very hard to find. They are a nice add-on to ClassicWB: AssignMan: assign management preferences applet. PathMan: system path management preferences applet. PriMan: task manager for Workbench. Startup: controls what should be executed on startup. And there are too: Env: system variable manager applet. Trashicon: simple trashcan icon for Workbench. DropBox: execute files based on extension. Hope you likes. Last edited by Leandro Jardim; 27 March 2019 at 13:40. |

There is also Noisome - it adds sounds to keys, and works with any 8svx file. And its a commodity!
I use it in WinUAE to hear typewriter sounds when I press any key... http://aminet.net/package/mus/misc/Noisome IconBeFast 1.14 can be found also in this archive: http://aminet.net/package/util/boot/IconBeFast Its hidden in a subdirectory. Last edited by Leandro Jardim; 17 August 2012 at 02:27. |

Leandro I've liked your Noisome, but... do you use it from the startup-sequence?
If so I would like to know the commands you use, because if not, I would have to use it clicking on it, and it isn't the same... |

But not if you are using a fixed palette with 16 locked colors like Rebel's palette ! And the icon.library 46.4 won't care about IconBeFast anyway because it has ObtainBestPen() already built-in.

No, I use it from WBStartup, just drag its icon to there. And if I remember well, when its there you should copy its configuration to ENVARC:, because it not look to the ENV: drawer. Perfectly! If you use for instance, AWeb with 128 colors with its GIF plugin, you should see much better pictures, mainly the ones that are generated by video-games or computers.
