New Amiga Joystick from AmigaKit.com
We will shortly be launching a brand new Amiga joystick which we have developed over the last 6 months.
This high quality joystick is manufactured to last for many years of Amiga gaming. It features arcade style controller with metal shaft and micro switches. It has independent fire A and fire B buttons that can both be user switched to single fire A operation if required. |

This thing would seriously need suction cups imo.

From the looks of it, it looks sturdy and built from proper arcade components, however the button placement looks a bit ackward I must say.

Is it designed to sit on a desktop primarily? I assume it is from the size, it looks weighty too.
I tend to do all my gaming "joystick in hand" so to speak. |

Just to make it clear, this pic is side angle on.
So your seeing more of the left hand side. Had to point that out, as others thought the left side was the front. |

So the stick is handled with the right hand, right?
I like more the arcade handling with the left hand |

First of all, congratulations on the initiative. It looks very well made and arcade-like, similar design logic as the one I use, and unless it is too expensive I will buy one because the Amiga community needs to support such efforts.
Having said that, I agree that suction cups would have been nice. |

I like it, and it's size: not too large. Do you know the Price yet?
Have you thought in making another with more buttons for MAME? |

We are still calculating the manufacturing costs. Price will probably around 48 EUR / £40 plus VAT and shipping.

It's a bit expensive then. I've found another with 10 buttons -do it yourself- for 29,99€ plus shipping.
Yours is better if you want it just for the miggy, and don't want a big thing around. Last edited by Retrofan; 05 December 2013 at 21:42. |
