help needed for turning amiga tunes into mp3s

i have deliplayer and i use it to turn amiga tunes into mp3s. unfortunately its mono output is abit muffeled and crappy. i tried pro along time ago but its stereo output wasnt that much better, it was clearer but suffered from the amigas split stereo problem that frankly makes it unlistenable on headphones. any help getting amiga tunes to sound good and joined together in mp3 would be greatly appreciated.

cheers
tony

You can load mod files to Mod Plug Tracker and save as MP3.

Im sure theres a few ways to do, but ill just comment on delitracker. The 14bit noteplayer can output as wav with all the quality effects that you want (panning/dsp ect.). If cpu is limited it can render it at half or quater speed which will sound bad while playing/recording, but the output file will be great when done. Then mp3 the file afterwards.

Another approach is WinAMP.
I use this on my PC to convert amiga mods to MP3's.

You can get the mod plugin from the Winamp site here http://www.winamp.com/plugin/oldsk00l-mod-player/2266

Although I'm not even sure you need it as WinAmp may have it built in by now.

EDIT: If you have the key for Deliplayer it'll record them out in stereo, unfortunately, this key isn't obtainable any more and I'm not even sure it's legal to pass it on either. Without the key, it only saves out in mono, but you could try alternative programs (Renoise 1.9.1), but they are a bit hit and miss with playing them correctly, but they do have features to save them out as mp3 or wav.

EDIT 2: The easiest and simplest method is to run WinUAE, play the song in Dopus and use WinUAE's ProWizard to save them, then convert them from wav to mp3 in Windows.

Search winamps homepage. If you still have problems, Im sure I have in on my home network.

All you do is que up songs you want to convert, then change output device in options to mp3 and will happly convert all.

Actually you don't use ProWizard, but the output panel for that. When you select the filename with '...', you can choose if it should record an AVI or a WAV file.

Why don't you grab them in good quality from Stone Oakvalley?

Hmm. Maybe I need to use the latest WinUAE as I'm still using 2.3

And as Retro-Nerd suggests, best place to get everything you want without the hassle of having to do it yourself

I use Audacious' file output plugin.

http://audacious-media-player.org/downloads

Of course you need to escape Windows first.

But Deliplayer 2.5 Pro has a join-stereo feature, which I believe you can use in your conversions. Quality should be excellent with oversampling and click removal set to best.

Use a real Amiga or a Minimig and connect the Audio outputs to your PC's inputs for the most accurate recordings.

There's a 2.05 one here which may well work:

I see absolutely no point in doing this though, if you're going to record it should be from the proper hardware. Playing Amiga music through a PC just sounds too different.

Cheers Dude... Been looking for this for ages.

Would do if I still had it... My A500 got covered in tomato ketchup and blew up and my A600 just sputtered and died one day (before anyone starts swearing at me for not looking after my Amigas... it was years ago and I was a stupid kid!!)

Would like to get an A1200 with flash drive one day... but there alittle outta my price range for now.

If you can tell the difference between a real Amiga recording and properly tuned output from UADE (besides the bus noise from a real Amiga, unrelated to the filters), I'd love to hear about it.
