Game lag - opinions please!

Morning fellow Amigans / Amigarians / Amigites etc etc,

I wondered if anyone has come across the same issue as me with game lag?
I booted up SWOS last night and started a career but have found the matches to be impossible to play due to intermittent game lagging. Has anyone else come across this and if so how can you resolve this?

I am currently playing SWOS on an Amiga 1200 with 2mb of Ram + 8 Meg Fast Expansion,a 68030 accelerator board with the game installed to a CF drive using WHDload.

There should be no lag unless you use maybe a 9pin to USB adapter for your stick/pad. A modern LCD TV can add of course some lag with different "game" modi enabled.

Sounds like a WHDLoad problem.

Maybe, but i never saw these "delays" on a 68030 CPU. Thought this was an 68040/60 problem.

my first thought was to get hold of the floppy disk version and run it from that but an original 96 -97 SWOS disk is bloody expensive!

Only other way I could think of would be to write the floppy from an ADF image on the Amiga and try that way to see if it fixes the problem. Just wanted to check with people though if I was missing something obvious.
