All you need is some dupont cables:

OK, thanks! So is BCMx PINx or GPIOx?

Expansion board for the CD32
I have just built 2 x TF328s with Alliance RAM. Anyone after one give me a message.

Yeah, which reminds me I want to connect the TX and RX of the CD32 as directly as possible to RX and TX of the RPi Zero W, so the serial console of the pi is available on the serial port of the CD32
![]() But I don't know if it would just work directly, or if there would need to be a voltage regulation there, with VCC on the CD32 being 5V and on the RPi 3.3V. |

Yeah, confusing - BCM pins are GPIO pins, but not pin number.
If you are using a recent RPi variant, with 40 pin header: Code:
TF328 RPi ========================================== TMS BCM4 aka GPIO4 aka pin 7 TDI BCM22 aka GPIO22 aka pin 15 TDO BCM27 aka GPIO27 aka pin 13 TCK BCM17 aka GPIO17 aka pin 11 GND GND aka pin 9, to keep them close |

I know it’s confusing but the GPIO numbers are the only thing consistent between different PIs |

Except the early Pi, which is what I used. I updated the Wiki with diagram info for all Raspberrys, did I not?

One more Tf328 built this morning. Last one before I go to USA as I’m out of CPLDs

I watched GadgetUK review of the Awesome TF328 and he did mention that with the riser not being covered it could open to ESD from us mere mortals
![]() Gadget used tape which fine and will protect it , what I cobbled together was a couple of easily available plastic strips and used the Riser connector location lugs as a template, I just positioned the strip over the lugs and marked the centers with a felt tip then removed and drilled 2,5mm holes for a snug fit. Be great if we could get some bespoke covers made ,but bare in mind there are a few variants of riser so it cant be a `One fits all` https://i.imgur.com/MLTnHhY.jpg |

The edge connectors are too long. You could cut a section away to clear the DB23 on Kippers board and use it as a cover, but it wouldn't snap in place.
You would have to 3D print one with a bulge on the back / a deeper cover? |

Finally got around to testing V41 firmware on several boards. Rock solid, so far no issues.
As for the cover, I know there are already some people working on this, will report back once there are 3D print files ready to share... |

Nice one. I think v41 is a keeper.

I keep meaning to design a cover myself, but I am not paying much attention to anything Amiga or retro computer related for a while now, have other goals for the moment. Suffice to say that when I do I'll post here first. I haven't even upgraded to v41! I do think the exposed back of risers is an accident waiting to happen. |

Now that v41 is a solid firmware and with the potential of Stephen bringing out a possible SPI tf328 this year the CD32 is truly blessed.
One day, I'd love to see SATA, RTC and a 030 at a later date if & when Stephen, Kipper2K or anyone else gets the time to add these features in regards to both hardware & firmware. I know there are others who'd also like to see a 030 and of course on the flip-side there's some people who don't care and are content with tf328 as it is, you're satisfied anyway so shh :P ![]() SPI: So what bandwidths can we expect with SPI on the cd32, and what use cases can we see, internet/networking, MMC/SD in SPI mode?, be interesting... although Stephen said he doesn't really want to do the drivers so who here has experience doing that sort of thing? No idea on the bandwidth. SPI is slow. But drivers are the main pain. I’ve made a start on a driver on the TF530 spi_alpha branch but Amiga device drivers are not something I know much about. Linux I can do |

I'm thinking SPI module boards for sd/mmc or Ethernet/wifi/bluetooth/serial port for potential networking that are common and documented will be a good bet. - ENC28J60 Ethernet LAN Network SPI Module Unfortunately I can't contribute to your driver on the tf530 project as I have yet to source a a500 or parts for my rev3 tf530 yet unless anyone wanted to donate anything to me I'm strapped for cash and burning up my credit on my Credit Card with my own project. Last edited by solidcore; 16 January 2018 at 13:40. Reason: Decided there are already SPI modules for ethernet, etc. |
