That's a highly peculiar screenshot, the game asks for disk 3 before it loads level 1 and that's not inserted in any drive in your screenshot.
So its crashing for you before game starts ?

Do you have v5.1 SPS decoder library and what kick1.3 rom do you use (crc32) ?

Quick 'n rough desktop capture of WinUAE:
https://streamable.com/wosxv

2:42 I press fire to skip rest of intro
3:37 I press fire on the main screen
3:42 Insert disk 3
4:10 Level 1

Tried on latest WinUAE.
When I tested last night I used an "ECS Agnus (Cycle-exact) / KS 1.3 / 512KB Chip & 512KB Slow RAM" configuration with the .IPFs and couldn't get it to crash; unlike with the .ADFs.

Put Disk 1 in DF0: and Disk 3 in DF1:

After the intro you will be asked for Disk 2, now insert this into DF0:

Hmmm, seems that I can also get the .IPFs to crash everytime in WinUAE

Looks like a similar issue as reported with Arnie 2 Keeps randomly freezing with adf.

Basically, if using any of the "Keyboard Layouts", if you move too quickly the game will guru; be it "left --> right" or "down --> up".

When using my Xbox 360 wireless controllers, this never happens when also moving quickly between either "left --> right" or "down --> up".

This would also explain why it never occurs when playing on a real Amiga.

So an issue with "Keyboard Layout" controls in WinUAE ?

I did extensive tests of the ipfs on real A500 (wrote ipfs to floppy with KryoFlux + ALPS DF354H911C) and WinUAE with a Wico Command Control (via a modded XBOX controller + XBCD drivers).
I completed the game several times and not once did it crash.

Yes, when using any "Keyboard Layout" and moving too quickly between opposite directions; this as also occurred with Arnie 2 Keeps randomly freezing with adf.

Try it yourself; guaranteed 100% crash / guru.

...which proves exactly what I've mentioned; can't get it to crash with a joystick selected and doing the same movements

Have now tested this set again but using my "Xbox 360 wireless controller" instead of "Keyboard Layout B":

... Deep Core (1993)(I.C.E.)(Disk 1 of 3)[cr CLS].adf [CRC32: AD9E75D2]
... Deep Core (1993)(I.C.E.)(Disk 2 of 3)[cr CLS][t +31 ATX][bootable].adf [CRC32: BC4A0739]
... Deep Core (1993)(I.C.E.)(Disk 3 of 3)[cr CLS].adf [CRC32: 223CA5A1]

Not one crash

Ransom also had issues with 2nd fire button as jump in latest ThunderCats WHDLoad slave, an issue I couldn't reproduce with joystick controls.

Agree with what DamianD said. Controls mapping I found reason of crashing on my side. I have PC keyboard arrows set as controls and game is crashing when I press two opposite direction controls simultaneously or quickly one after another (e.g. up % down, left & right). Now wondering how to workaround this I checked whether this is my emulator-specific issue but looks like it is not, for other games I could not get WinUAE crashing when I press two opposite directions simultaneously on the keyboard. So at the end of a day, I would not be surprised if that is the coding bug in the game itself wondering if this could be workaround in WinUAE itself ? Maybe WinUAE developers could say more about it.
