The ones I've actually played enough to know the difference

Crazy Cars III
Flashback (Better than Another World)
Shadow Of The Beast 3 (The only Beast game with gameplay)
Speedball 2
SuperCars 2
James Pond 2
Lotus 2
Zeewolf 2
Zool 2

I'm not sure I can say Monkey Island 2 is better... I just loved the first one so much.

As for Street Fighter, the Amiga never had any versions of any of the Streetfighter games, OK!

EDIT: TCD, Zombie Apocalypse 2 is better, you're right

Flashback is not a sequel of Another world it's a prequel of Fade to black
The sequel of Another world is heart of aliens
None were available for the Amiga and both were inferior to the originals

I agree that Lotus 2, Switchblade 2, Speedball 2 and Mortal Kombat 2 are superior sequels.

However, I think Turrican 2 was a sadly inferior followup to one of the best games on the Amiga.

Another very poor sequel was Sidewinder 2 - it's just horrible PD trash when you compare it to the funky original.

Heh, the old T1 VS T2 discussion Me personally I find the level design of T1 a bit boring; T2 is more fun in that respect. Also I find the music more memorable.

So I'll side with T2 = better

(perhaps its because I played T2 first...)

Thank you Horace, I too sit in the rare "Turrican is better than T2" camp.

I like Antheads better than the original, probably because it's the one I had back then

But it's cool how peoples faces suddenly change into antheads.

Deuteros
Kid Gloves II
Might and Magic II
Silent Service II
Starglider II
Super Cars II

A lot of it is opinion of course and so here are mine

I prefer Lotus 1 to the sequel by far as it's more intimate.Lotus3 is probably best overall for having best of both

Speedball2 is a much better game for more obvious reasons i think and is the best game of it's type too.Speedball1 is fairly basic in comparison

Turrican2 is perhaps not better by anything too obvious but i do much prefer it.3rd one doesn't feel quite like a Turrican game

Xenon1 is a little better as there is an element of tactics missing from the sequel.I really don't like either game though- probably because i could never get past that last black and pink level.I did used to like the game quite a bit at the time however

Starglider 1 and 2 i think is just down to choice.I like them both and while it's clear Starglider 2 is more ambitious technically and because of how much more you can do, they both only play so well anyway. It's hard to say Starglider2 is any better just because it's more featured gameplay

Really, you think so? Lemmings 2 never did it for me and I consider ANWOL the best Lemmings version ever. It even inspired me to write a short review in the Amiga Games Database (back when my English was not quite there yet, so don't laugh).

Its a good platformer/shooter IMO. The character moves and acts a little slow and it lacks music, although I don't really miss it either. The slowness of the character gets a bit unforgiving in the later levels though; the difficulty doesn't scale well.

Now that I think about it, I never even played Switchblade 1 :s
