It's great. That's all, and should run for CSPPC/BPPC users pretty well I would imagine, if it runs at 320x240 like original.

Ok Amigans, here is beta1. To run this, all you need is this executable plus a GRP file from Duke Nukem 3D in the same directory (and WarpOS running obviously...). It should work on the shareware, original and Atomic versions etc.

There are a couple of issues I'm working on:
  • Strange bug that blanks all/part of the screen if you stay in the menus for more than a minute or two?! Get playing!
  • No mouse support
  • Weird colouring in WinUAE

Some of these are due to SDL I think, but more debugging required.

Not tested on CSPPC but ought to work (maybe wrong colours?).
Not tested on BPPC but I'd be surprised if it worked as it's not compiled for 603
Not tested multiplayer.

Feedback on issues welcome but no promises of fixes given my feeble C skills...

So here is beta2 of Duke for WarpOS. Changes:
  • Mouse control now working - big thanks to Hedeon for updating SDL to support mice properly!
  • Menu glitch problem sorted at last
  • Correct colours on Mediator graphics cards and conventional ones we've been able to test
  • Works on CSPPC, BPPC and PPC cards via the Mediator

Some things to remember:
  • setenv NOIXPATHS 0 to ensure it works properly
  • there is some funny bit swapping going on some graphics cards in full screen (eg CVPPC)
  • grelbfarlk says music is working via timidity - not tried this myself
  • don't know about multiplayer
  • there are some other niggles yet to sort out but nothing major now

No fooling, it does work and sounds great. I'm using the HQ pack from Aminet.

You just need to have the TIMIDITY_CFG ENV setting to point to your timidity.cfg like:
setenv env:TMIDITY_CFG=path:to/your/timidity.cfg

Damned if I can find it now, as I recall there were 2MB, 8MB and 30MB packs, maybe I got them from the Timidity package itself.

This one should work:

Tested, and works very well on Sonnet.
In 640x480 about 28 FPS, in 800x600 about 18 FPS (first world).
Scroll in mouse is supported too

Big THANKS
