The Age of Rock

Hi all,

I have been playing The Age of Rock, a decent puzzle game in my opinion but there is an issue when you get the game over screen.

The game shows a workbench screen and you can hear music and if you press fire it will start a new game which is fine but you can't see the highscore table or choose a 2 player or 3 player game then.

Can some one please look to see if there is anything that can be done?

The freeware version is version 1.3b

Here it works (A1200 040 3.1). At least if I deactivate "Mode Promotion" under IControl, else the game screen is corrupt. After game over the game returns to the highscore/main screen.

Is there a way to sort that out permanently? It returns to the workbench screen occasionally when loading a new level. I'll take a look at whether 'Mode protection' will sort it.

Thank you.

On what system do you try it? If I start without Startup-Sequence and then launch the "start game" script (includes assign for fonts and libs) it works without problems. As far I guess it is a config (hardware or software) problem on your side.

Currently I am running it on FSUAE emulator rather than my own Amiga.

If I use A500 it crashes as it needs WB 2.0+
A500+ it does the workbench screen stuff and does the A600 screen.
A1200 version does too.

I will dig out the coverdisk the full version is on and see if I get the same issue on my Amiga 1200.
