Thanks for the kind words..
Well, releasing the game on the 10th of December is the ambition. Price will probably be around 10 euros. But let's see if I can really make it in time. Maybe one or two weeks later then.

And yes, it's DPF...

Unfortunately, I cannot keep that 10th of December release date. A nasty scrolling bug showed itself while testing. Only happens late in a level, and only in the longer ones. So that's why I didn't notice it more early.

So, game will take some more time to cook.

Thanks for the update... certainly it is better to have found it now than later...
We'll wait a few more days/weeks, don't worry and keep up the great work!

Any luck killing this bug? Just wondered if you had any updates, thanks.

Hey Guys (and especially lionagony ),

on this Sunday at 7PM, I will be on Amiga Bill's show where he will have a shot at the Krogharr Demo.

Which is in the final rows of being finished, but there are still a few little bugs and some gameplay that needs to be polished, so it will probably be released in the week after that...

With me there will be our forum legend Roondar, who helped me immensely on several coding issues, and is the author of the genius sound mixer tool which is included in more and more current game projects.

Anyway, hope to see lots of you people there in the chat...
Will be fun.

Love,
Michael/Tigerskunk

From what I've seen in the Amiga Bill stream this game took a lot of inspiration from DaemonClaw by BitBeam Cannon. Expecially regarding the flying powerups and the uppercut jumps.

Actually we both took inspiration from "Black Belt" on the Sega Master system, which is a favorite game of Michael Parent and mine both. We had a fun chat about this game a few years ago, and how we are both big fans of it.

Plus, if you check my FB page, you can see that I had mockups of this already around 2018/19.

It is a good effort to pull a game like this, I love the backgrounds and the smoothness of everything. But, I think, the characters/sprites needs to be redone (I invite you to see Capcom arcade games like Dungeons and Dragons, King of Dragon...).

Certainly, the characters/sprites in those old Capcom games are great, clean, smooth and cartoon like. My own pixel art style is also clean and cartoon like at times.

The intent here was to develop a water colour aesthetic. I like the graphics overall but of course tastes may vary.

Well, in the end I have to find my own way of how to design those things. I am not Capcom. But a good part of the fun with this is finding your own style.

My inspiration for the character is more in the vein of Yie Ar Kung Fu and other early Konami arcade stuff here.

Anyway, I feel flattered that my little homebrew game is compared to these all time greats here.
