DirectInput/XInput/RawInput?

Having searched for "XInput" in this section recently, Toni confirmed that WinUAE doesn't support XInput, but rather RawInput.

So, bearing in mind that I recently acquired a Logitech Rumblepad F510 controller, which allows me to switch between DirectInput and XInput at the flick of a switch, does that mean I should use it in DirectInput mode only when miggy-ing it up?

I guess both work, both DirectInput and XInput are built on top of USB HID RawInput.
