I updated the Catacomb games. I cleaned up the screen mode handling, which means that text screens are no longer interlaced on DblPAL/DblNTSC screens. I also fixed the status bar bug on said modes, which was seen in zzielins' video.
Another important change: the games no longer fill the whole screen with the sky/ground color. If you are up close to the wall, they won't be drawn at all. This reduces the overdraw, and gives a couple of realtics speed.

Last time I checked both B and C buttons worked fine with the Mega Drive pad.

Real machine. On emulated I only tried the built-in keypad joystick emulation of WinUAE.

Have two/three xm songs that i made for a unity game and got rejected by the coder, i can redo it to three channel mod for this, since those seems to fit the environment quite good!

I made an update to Keen Dreams, which didn't get much love recently. It turns out I was doing the scrolling completely wrong. The new version should fix the horrible jerky scrolling previous versions had. It still has slowdowns, but the status bar should be completely stationary now.

Funny you should mention that. Behind the scenes I'm trying to get things moving for an official Amiga release, which could use some music. There's no digi-sound support in the game yet.

After some testing with zzielins we found that the scrolling in Keen Dreams is broken when ACAtune is running. Could some of you guys with ACA accelerators verify this?

I just tried both games on aca1221 21mhz 9mb. Catacomb is now playable. Loading time is still enormous. And Keen works fine though scroll seems to be a bit jerky but nothing serious.

The horizontal scrolling resolution in Keen Dreams is between 2 and 3 pixels. This is how the engine works, so it won't ben completely smooth. I hope the jekyness is not causes by slowdowns.
I presume you use acatune. What command line switches do you start it with?

No slowdowns. Just not completely smooth. And the only switch I use is S=2 for 21MHz

It is possible with some extra work, but this game is different because all of the 2D graphics on the screen is in planar. Without a serious rework it would involve a C2P -> P2C conversion, blitting the RTG screen in multiple parts, etc. In short I have no plans to do it.

I made a CD32 bootable ISO image for Keen Dreams. It includes the shareware 1.13 data (which has all the levels from the registered game) and the AdLib sound effects converted into samples. Because of the limited NVRAM size you can only save the world map state. On the other hand it's fully playable with the controller. The link is in the first post.

Sorry, I don't have a single controller that works properly, and I was too lazy to look up the mapping in WinUAE. Here are the basics:
Blue - Enter, jump
Yellow - status
Red - shoot
Play - Escape
