Ok, it seems that nobody has original disks for this game

So, I've just purchased these disks (for a whopping £5) in the eBay listing that Superman kindly linked too

...now, the next question is; who can I send these disks to? BarryB possibly?

I don't have any Amiga hardware available these days etc. to actually dump these disks (if they are really ok)?

What a martyr to the cause

If no one local or closer to you with a Kryoflux chimes in and offers to image them I can dump them with my Kryoflux no problem, they're only ADOS so can make ADF's at the same time!

Let's see what happens when you get them!

oh wow!
DamienD, that's very kind of you.

I could have bought them, maybe I'll do that if your copy doesn't work... At the end we will find an original working copy of this game!

Keep us informed and thanks for taking this thread to heart!

Yeah well, let's not hype this up too much...

I spend double that amount on my lunch living in London daily

...what's £5 at the end of the day?

Appreciated Retroplay

...BarryB is in the same country though, so easy to ship to him via smail-mail. Plus, I know he has the required hardware / skills (that's not to say that you don't; proximity rules)

No problem at all

TBH I don't really care; I use the PDX crack at the end of the day

...but I do / can understand your predicament (and if we as an Amiga community can preserve an original then all good).

Seems too late now but all that is needed to restore the code check is to edit the intro file on DamienD Zoned disk. The changes are from the equivalent part of AGA SPS disk which works just the same.

Code:
C:\>fc /b C:\IntroFromCrack C:\IntroRestored
Comparing files C:\IntroFromCrack and C:\INTRORESTORED
000003C0: 33 0C
000003C1: FC 79
000003C8: 4E 66
000003C9: 71 26
000003D0: 12 B0
000003D1: C0 19
000003D2: 4E 66
000003D3: 71 1C

It's never too late guru clenched

If you know how to get the cracked OCS / ECS version back to what it was originally then all good

...the original disks are coming anyway but they may be smurfed.

@DamienD: Yeah, much cheaper to ship nationally!

@clenched: I'll give that a go on the ECS version!

You could've given people more than 2 days to come up with the goods! Only spotted this thread last night myself, but I was too slammed with work to post. I did manage to fetch the game box off the bookshelf tonight, though, but I'm still a bit busy with work......so probably won't get to disk imaging until the weekend. What's amusing is that Liviux doesn't seem to be in any particular rush, but the rest of ya have been frothing at the mouth (admittedly to help) in this thread!

Oooh, it's a race to see who can dump first! TBH I don't know if my disks work either......

I can only say that this community is amazing!

I won't be home until the end of the week and I wasn't in a hurry but it's great to see how much Amiga enthusiasts do for each other.

Thanks to all!

Zoned the 'uncracked' Disk 1 ADF courtesy of clenched's info so you can 'pretend' it's an original Still bombs out using 2 drives on 512k chip configs in WinUAE.

Irrelevant who dumps first, both dumps need submitting to SPS so they can make a 'good' dump if possible

Exactly

Chill out Prof Bong; you're never around these days so can't wait forever in the hope that you'll eventually stumble across this thread. Action needs to be taken; schnell, schnell

I've just copied this to 2 disks and tried it on my A500 ECS 512k Chip / 512k Slow and it bombs out using 2 drives as well! Guess you need 1mb+ Chip if playing from 2 drives!!

Thank you so much!
I'll get it as soon as I will be at home!
Great to know that this game will be dumped for the SPS too!

That's what I love about EAB peeps.....hats off to Damien & his merry men in this thread!

Anyway, find ADFs and a raw dump of my original copy of Football Glory in the Zone. @liviux76, gazj82: Best of luck in restoring your original disks!

SPS?! Do they still exist??!! I only dump Amiga games so Denis has something to analyse! Never hurts to have a 2nd dump, but Football Glory is probably as unsexy as it gets when it comes to Ami games......professionally duplicated, no copy protection, DOS and no known alternate/budget/compilation versions.

In the uncracked version, what protection is in the game? Tables? Code wheel? Word look-up's from manual?

The games asks for some 8 digits codes that you can find in a square on every pages of the manual.
You can see them in the manual here.
