Admitedly not the most exciting effect for a fire button, but that still counts on my book, thanks Devlin!

@Solo Kazuki: dully noted your precisions. Will update accordingly...

The list could be endless with CD32load as you can choose what keyboard button you want the other buttons on your joypad to do.

You mean that would then include every Amiga game with some keyboard function(s), that it?

This is more a case of a feature provided by CD32Load than by the game itself (even via a patch).
Of course instead of listing countless games then, I will prolly just add that a note about that possibility in the OP.

You have two separate attacks, 1st button is 4-way blast, 2nd is bomb. It cannot be assigned by user.

Alright, I misinterpreted your previous explanation ("you have choice which weapon you want use, because they are assigned to different buttons"), sorry about that: now corrected!

I mean choice in opposition to "normal" (not CD32) version, where you have both attacks on single button. Don't know if game choose it randomly or by some order.

It's CD32 version feature, not normal one.

There's additional "control" option in options menu in CD32 version, where you can change usage of 1/2/3(all!) buttons. It looks that:

I found also

Actually AB:TA has CD32 joypad support. You have controller option even in ECS/AGA version.

Alien Breed 3D (not sure if only for CD32 version)
Alien Breed 3D2: The Killing Grounds (CD32 joypad support)

Just a thought on this..
I've never thought it would actually matter all that much to me, for as much as I enjoy Amiga games, I'm very bad at them... ;-)
So I never really thought much about it..

But this weekend, I was resetting up my A1200 back with a 1084s, and pulled up Aladdin for a quick test.
I went into the options screen and saw some controller options. Since I had an SMS pad in there (for AmiMasterGear), I decided to try one of them.

So I had a button for action (sword or apple depending on a spacebar toggle) and a button for jump.

I started playing...
And I got significantly farther than I EVER have in that game...
Still very bad of course, but significantly better...

I knew serious gamers would really thrive with proper multiple buttons..
But I didn't realize it would make that much of a difference for a really bad gamer as well..

I'll have to try some more..

Of course, the SMS pad has TERRIBLE direction sensitivity issues (meaning trying to go straight up, I frequently end up going up AND right or up AND left..

Probably time for a good 2 button joystick.. ;-)

Hehe, yup, this collecting madness thread does make some sense after all! (^_-)

Not only the multiple buttons angle actually, for you may find -- if ever you have the oppotunity to experiment with several digital joysticks -- that different joysticks will give you different levels of skills while playing, since each joystick has its own degree of suitability to playing each game, depending on its characteristics (stiffness/looseness, leaf/micro-switches, travel amount of the stick, shape and way of handling, etc.).

...Well, at least that's the rationale behing my collecting (more than 20 different joysticks from the era now).

Solomon's Key 2 - 2nd button for retry level/level selection options.
Speris Legacy (AGA game, have 2-button and CD32 joypad support)

Some differences between OCS and AGA version of mentioned games

Black Viper AGA (have 2-button and CD32 joypad support)
Bubble and Squeak AGA (have 2-button and CD32 joypad support)
Fightin' Spirit AGA (have 2-button and CD32 joypad support)
Fire + Ice (a.k.a. Fire & Ice CD32). It's CD32 game, but also A1200 HD installable (require AGA). You have nice option to select music from CD or "on chip", which means the same music as in OCS version. Of course game have CD32 joypad support.

On my way to update the OP right now with these infos... Thank you Solo!

(EDIT: I added a Solomon's Key 2 entry + edited the one for Speris.
Didn't actually change entries for the rest you mentioned: Black Viper, Bubble and Squeak, Fightin' Spirit and Fire & Ice.
AFAIK, these have both AGA and CD32 versions: obviously there is minor differences between controller management in each version, but the main point here is that _both_ version for each of these entries support 2nd button action. Trying to keep the focus of the list on games, not specific versions of them, ie. if only some versions of a game support multiple buttons, that will be specified, but if ALL versions of that game have the support, I'd rather not clutter the list with details on the controller management particularities in each of these versions (CD32 joypad support in AGA version and what have you)... Suffice to know then that, whatever version (AGA, OCS, ECS, CD32...) of it, a game does in fact take multiple controller buttons into account.

On the other hand, info for each game entry about what 2nd button (and following buttons where appliable) does will be added systematically when known, and for every version of it if they differ in the matter.)

I think that it would be very useful too, if you can also make a list of the Joystick models that support 2nd fire button!
Since the original standard for atari joystick port had only one fire button, the great majority of joysticks are build with only one fire button support. And by that, i don't mean joysticks with one physical button only. Although most joysticks had 2 physical buttons, usually these buttons were BOTH connected to the same pin of joystick port (pin 6), therefore, most joysticks were actually one fire button joysticks with 2 physical buttons!
So,it would be really interested to know which joystick models had TRULY 2 fire button support (that is 1st button on pin 6 and 2nd button on pin 9 of the joyport).
