That does not prove anything. There are [too] many programs that can get really slow, freeze, crash etc.. with "too fast with weird timing"-JIT CPU. (most commonly timing bugs, accessing something without proper locks etc that accidentally work on [most] real Amigas due to relatively slow custom/chip ram access speed etc)
Yes, it still can be emulation bug but I need MUCH more information (I refuse to waste time by looking for non-existing bugs, it has happened too many times previously) More information = does it only happen with JIT? With 68020 or 68040/060? What about using only chip ram? Using OCS only? Without startup-sequence? (or with only important programs like setpatch) EDIT: I think some kind of sticky WinUAE "debugging guide" would be nice to have but I am too lazy Last edited by Toni Wilen; 21 July 2007 at 19:17. |

The bug(?) where you can't insert a cartridge rom file after you run the emulator initially without one is there. Not significant in the the wider emulator issues but it's there for those free minutes of fixing times

What bug? Cart rom is initialized only after reset. (Because AR series initialize during reset, others don't need reset but support code was originally made for AR...)

I mentioned it because I'm not sure if it's just me hence the ? in the post. I just thought I'd add that if I boot up in the same manner but do initially choose an AR or suchlike then I can change the cartridge rom via a reset, the bug? only happens if I don't initially boot with a cartridge rom. |

Beta 12 (RC1) - added quick enable/disable checkboxes to floppy panel - non-word aligned word writes to custom registers emulated correctly - byte writes to custom registers emulated properly on a 68060 (perhaps only Blizzard 68060 cards' feature?) - 68020 "cycle-exact" does not anymore freeze when switching to RTG mode (but it still should not be used) - Nordic Power v2.0 support (got another "blue" Nordic Power today, also "cartridge support" credits added to contributors list) rom zoned. |

no adjustment. I'm satisfied if cycle-exact works with aga in release. have enough cpu-power.
Cycle-exact have an obsolete legend: "the most compatible A500 ...". It works with A1200, too. |

So the cycle-exact options is only designed to work properly with 68000 CPU?
And what with the 68010 CPU which gives A500 additional speedkick with the same compatibility as 68000? Or maybe it decreasing compatibility? ZygZak |

(68010 has "loop-mode" and optimized microcode, both totally not worth the trouble in emulation) |

Thanks Toni!
What's the additional file (WinUAE_default.dll) in the zip? Does it go in the same directory as winuae.exe? Steve. |
