Poll: When did you have your first Amiga?
Tell me the year you had your first real Amiga.
Any Amiga that was accessible for you at your home on a daily basis counts, even if you were not the official owner. For example, you were a child, your family had an Amiga and you could use it at your home. Neighbors´ or friends´Amigas don´t count. Never means you never had a real Amiga, you were always with Emulation or using Amiga outside of your home. |

I got mine about 2002 from a car boot sale, plain vanilla A1200 with 80mb Hard Disk. Keys were super yellow but otherwise it was nice and clean.
I also got a job lot of Games, Mags, Disks, etc with it and bought an 8mb Upgrade from eBay which was pretty cheap at that time. I used it for about 2-3 years mostly to relive the old Games like the Dizzy series. It went into storage and came out a few years ago, the rest is history! |

1992? Whenever the A600 came out. Paid full release price for the HD version with no software beyond workbench.
I had 25 in the house the other day, though most aren't mine. Still never even seen a big box. |

Got mine, the A500, in either 88 or 89, so I voted 89 as I'm not 100% sure these days. It was the basic White standard bundle with very little with it, except the usual and essential stuff. It was not the 1.2 Workbench because they had moved on to 1.3 by then and that's why I'm a little vague as to exactly what year I purchased it.
Then in 1993/4 I got the A1200.... \o/ Last edited by DH; 08 December 2013 at 17:09. Reason: Forgot to mention which Amiga, although it's kinda obvious |

Well hard to remember the exact year my dad got the A500 but it came with Wizball and Goldrunner which were released in 1987 so I went with that.

1987 from Silica Shop, cost me £470 which I'd saved up for and flogged my Commodore 128. Dpaint and 10 PD disks came with it, took me a week to get over it was my computer running the 'Juggler' Demo.

Picked up an a1200 off the other bay on a whim as my best mates dad had an Amiga when we were kids and we loved it. Call it a mid life crisis if you will. Then the crazy adventure began... |
