CD32 TinyLauncher (Joysticks / Gamepad Control)

I would like to use my CF Drive on my CD32 and use TinyLauncher as the menu system. One question - how can i use my gamepad to control the menu rather than just the keyboard?

(Note: I have TF330 and CF Drive already in situ)

Works out-of-the-box in my experience- just autoboot it in your startup-sequence or manually load from WB or CLI

Directions and red button works out of the box in Tiny Launcher but for some actions for example Esc Key to return to the previous menu, you have to use Joy2key

Personaly i use joy2key2, it has a config file and i've mapped only back & fordward keys

Perhaps you have to stop joy2key2 with the WHDLOAD-Startup before the launch of WHDload because mapping can interfer with CD32 games for example that uses back & forward

Hmmm, I'm not able to test right now, but can't you press up and fire at the same time to mimic the Escape key in TinyLauncher?

Can confirm that it works with a new (not original) controller and red button for me. It is a nice piece of software, though would like to be able to skip letters when searching.

You can skip letters

Just keep "up" pushed for 2 seconds when you are in top position of a list, and then letters appears on top and you could choose your letter

Thank you so much for this. What a great piece of software. The CD32 goes from strength to strength.

completely different in almost every aspect the interface to me is more apt for cd32 besides it has full cd32pad support right off the bat

also it is still being developed (I think)

Cheers Bren. I was planning on setting up a CF card with workbench and a reduced WHDLoad library this weekend for my cd32. I have never done this before and was curious about the best applications to include. I will add x-bench and give it a whirl. Just need to decide which OS to roll with first.

X-bench last release = 24/12/2021
TinyLauncher last release = 21/01/2022 (admittedly the MiSTer edition)
