exact model of 68882 that can fit on the Blizzard 1230 mk4?
Not sure what is the exact version of the 68882 that goes on the Blizzard MK4 1230 card. The manual does not refer to a specific model, and Motorola made different versions for it.
Is there a specific tag for it? Are they even sold these days? |

Found it; instead of looking for Amiga parts I went to the Motorola site and found historical data on the type of MMU that are supported by the 68030.
I realized that I can also look at the one on my card directly; that was quite silly. The actual part is MC68882RC50A-PGA-MC680X0 |

Any PGA 68882 should work, I think it only came in 2 kinds of packages (one PGA package, one PLCC package). You obviously want to use the 50Mhz part since you have a 50Mhz crystal in your system (and I think the 1230 mk4 has no provision for a separate FPU xtal), but you could probably get away with overclocking a lower spec one.

Yep; need the exact match for my main CPU; so went for the 50 MHZ model; which is marked by "RC50A"; the 68030/50 is "RC50B" instead |
