Thanks retro-nerd but i have already got these.
looking at planetemu site theres seems to be a lot more even though theres different versions of the same game and in english as well.
im using the bluemsx emulator and it works cartridge and disk games perfectly but with the tape games it hardly seem to work at all,can it emulate tape games fully or what.

Google for "retro-roms". Tape games? Haven't tried yet, i assume there aren't too many, eh?

edit: Check the blueMSX.chm file for cassette loading infos.

Yep already done retro roms there seems to be 100s of tape games on planetemu but cant seem to get them working in bluemsx.
looks like doing msx 1 & 2 [dsk] games individually all this week.

Just tried 007 - Licence to kill, 10th Frame and 180 with this command:

Quote:
run"cas:",r
Works fine here in MSX1 and MSX2 emulation. Rewind the Tape, if you get device errors and try again.

edit: Other games work with CLOAD and then RUN. Never had a MSX.

I now can confirm the bluemsx is the best emulator overall it emulates disks, cartridge's nearly perfectly on msx 1 & msx 2 msx turbo and jap games but with the cassettes, theres some what will work and some wont so theres still work to be done in this field, but nevertheless the best emulator out there.
Anyway all of the games are on the cassette, disk, cartridge and in compilations so your not going to miss out on any games after all.

Don't know if it improves MSX compatibility with tape games but OpenMSX is a worthy emulator. Less user-friendly than BlueMSX and rather aimed at the advanced user AFAIU.

all of the games which are on cassette are on disk as well ands its nearly emulates all of the disk games and the rest of the games are on cartridge and compilations as well so theres not many games that you wont get to work overall.
i must have tried about a dozen emulators including open msx and bluemsx is the only choice for me.
