A conversion of the cute little platformer Herbert from the Atari-8-bit would have been nice (see Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herbert...mputer_game%29 and the sequel Herbert 2 on Atarimania http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari...t-ii_2436.html - the Herbert 1 version on Atarimania is bad). Both commercial games are freeware now. Joystick with normal and autofire button is recommended, if you want to give it a try.

No, sorry, Contra and Congo Bongo weren't released for Amiga. Wikipedia is full of errors (Amiga Sonic and Contra included).

As I suspected.
I would correct it but it would just get reverted back... :-( |

I wish several of the classic Apogee/ID titles were released on the Amiga, such as the Commander Keen series... while not up to Amiga standards when it comes to graphics and sound, they're very playable and fun platformers.
Also the C64 version of Defender of the Crown - I wish they'd rereleased the game for the Amiga with the improvements they put in the C64 version. |

3d24 - very good puzzle + action game with small robot, hard because of unresponsive controls (or maybe it's just my new-old joypad which I bought today from flea market):

I liked Starquake on the Speccy, don't like the ST Gfx very much, but I'm playing with it.

Agree with the Metal Slug games, as well.
Well, I keep a Mega Drive/32X/CD setup Mainly to play all the weird Japanese shooters! Super Cho'Aniki (Amiga version was announced, but never made) Keio Flying Squadron (Just utterly WEIRD game, an '030 AGA miggy could have ROCKED that game!) Steel Empire (No, not the wargame that IS on the Amiga, but the Jules Verne-inspired sideways shooter) |

Hey guys ( I live. I'm back. Maybe...), I just realized that it would be cool to put this into a special site or some document that put together all of the suggestions, and ranks them, as well as list them in the order of most popular. =)
It would include screenshots and even game-play video from the Non-Ami version. Sort of like a special section on HoL, or Lemon Amiga. Yeah... that'd be the ticket! What do you think, lads? Would you be in favor of such feature? It would certainly be an interesting list, methinks... ( although I figure we all know who the "usual suspects" will be... ) |

Snow Brothers.
I remember reading many years ago that Ocean France had been working/sitting on it, but for some reason it never got distributed. Very frustrating. Eventually found some ADFs of it, but did anyone ever actually own the original in the UK (or anywhere in Europe for that matter)? |
