Thumbs up Steam Lunar Sale

So to celebrate the Chinese New Year Steam is running a sale until Feb 11th.

As if your wallets have recovered from the Winter Sale

Picked up Nioh the Complete Edition and Sniper Elite 4 with all the DLC.

There are also some tokens you get when you purchase items during the sale and can be redeemed for mostly epeen stuff but also more coupons too.

It's always fun to get that email, "14 items on your wishlist are on sale!".

I don't really like the token deal they're running, they're basically just tricking you into buying a lot so you get more discounts. I'm going to give this one a skip, not even two months between sales is a bit over the top

Got 4500 tokens based on previous purchases, but like most of the stuff steam comes up with the stuff you can get with them is utter crap!

I just bought Cradle Deluxe, was only £3.89, but got a refund after 3 minutes of play

Saw this one a few years ago and considered buying it then but never did, then yesterday I was browsing the sale and suddenly thought about it so looked it up and it was on sale, so purchased!

My god what an un-optimised mess! Framerate is all over the place, very laggy and no re-bind option for the keys! Even small movements were laggy and jerky and made it difficult to focus on where you were looking as the lag was making me look way past where I wanted to look, just couldn't seem to get this game running smoothly, most of the 3 minutes was spent adjusting settings but nothing made it any easier on controlling the lag so gave up!

Sent a refund request to support and got a refund, just avoid this mess of a game, it looks good but plays awful! My specs would have been pretty overkill when it was released: GTX780, 16GB RAM, i7 CPU@3.6GHz so not exaclty underpowered but it ran like crap, very disappointing!

Indeed, however it is still valid information for the folks that do want to discriminate their purchases from Steam or games in general so that is still a valid form of feedback

Still sorting my lowest price however and yes Cradle Deluxe is in my cart now too

Probably can't deal with adding another game to 'infinity' i.e. the number of games you own?

Strangely, the 'crack' for Cradle works fine with the same settings and without any lag or stuttering, just the steam version was laggy and stuttering? Have deleted it now anyway so not going to bother about why the steam version had issues, it didn't even have any intrusive DRM other than steam!

Story time! It's called "Jmmijo calls the bank".

jmmijo calls the bank. "Why can't I buy more Steam games!? I need to buy more! MORE!"

Bank manager: "Sir, we left you a thousand messages. You are a 100k in the red, we froze your account."

Jmmijo: "... <crickets> LET ME GO TO -200K!"

Bank manager: "But sir, do you even play that many games!?"

Jmmijo foaming at the mouth: "Playing games is for kids!"

Too bad there was a problem with the Steam Store Front yesterday, Lord Gaben missed out on my purchases

But he knows I will still purchase the cheap ass games to add to my library
