The best cat food I've come across is the Swedish brand Bozita

The wet pouches are 95% meat and there's sooooo much variety, see here.

The girls absolutely loved it

These Orijen dry buscuits are also very good, see here.

Hm cool, Zooplus also has a Dutch website. Going to snoop around there.

Those dried biscuits I actually already have. Expensive but boy does she love them.

Some piccies of the cat out and about... on a leash. Lucky for us she has no trouble traveling in a car for a while so we can take her out to see the big hairy dogs with horns and such She loves to do this and likes to run through the grass, master fallen trees like a lion, do the "kek kek kek" noises at all the birdies in the trees, hunt bugs and just be a cat and exercise like crazy.

We used to take her out around the house almost daily, but we turned to taking her out for walks in the quieter parks where we only have to dodge the occasional big dog. Having to deal with people inside an urban environment is just really shitty, people have no filter or decency anymore it seems. Talking loudly behind our back, saying we're crazy or that it is somehow "sad" to take a cat out for a walk on a leash... ugh.

Of course there are also the really nice people who think we're genius - be it because they know the risks of letting a cat out or people fed up with having cat shit in their yards, but they're in a minority right now. First it needs to be a law that you just can't kick your cat out into our crowded car-ridden society with a rapidly dwindling bird population before it can be an accepted thing it seems...

Our boy Josh, RIP

This was our boy Josh (grey and white) when he was around a year and a half back in 2006 - in basket - and in June of 2017 - snoozing on our bed. In September of 2017, he sadly was diagnosed with cancer in his nose near his eye. Before the end of January 2018, we had to put him to sleep due to how badly he was suffering - bleeding from the eye and nose, very weak, not eating, getting dehydrated. It's coming up on the one year anniversary, so when I saw this thread, I figured I'd share.

His "brother from another mother" Shadow (all grey and on my lap) is still with us after 14 years!

We ended up getting a pretty little calico kitten, Zoe, a couple weeks after Josh passed and she's the apple of our eye, if a little bit crazy!

Cats are sensitive to particular smells, especially cardboard and such. It may be that an Amiga excretes something that your cat finds comforting. Heck, it may just be because the thing smells of you.
