Probably wrong thread if you haven't got it to work in earlier versions either.. (btw, never say "error" or "it does not work" in winuae forums..)

vhd's detect incorrectly, broken when chd support was improved. EDIT: Fixed in winuae.zip.

yep, all is working as seen in 2.8.1 again. thnx

maybe just cosmetic issue, also to be seen on the picture of 2.9.0.0 above ( right one ): HD Controller: [UAE ...............] [ghosted dropdown] Sector: .....

is the [ghosted dropdown] intentionally? the [UAE .........] is much more larger than before.

edit: i found out myself, after playing with this hd-controller opttions - it is indeed not a cosmetic error

How are you mounting your data files? You need to use real IDE emulation, UAE devices (such as adding folders) need 68k and as you know 4.x disables the 68k side completely.

Excellent new beta!

Finally PPC emulation is running on my setup and no longer gives me a black screen on boot-up! Seems pretty quick as well. I tested out a couple of PPC demos and they run just fine. Very happy!

EDIT: Just having a play with the PowerPC Test DMS and it seems to register WarpOS as running ok. Although I noticed after the test that the PPC CPU core goes into an endless RUN, SLEEP, RUN, SLEEP looping pattern. Is this normal??

Already known, check post #483.

Probably something unfixable. In worst case code gets written and executed in A2065 on board buffer RAM which is really non-JIT friendly. (It looks like it is the reason, "stupid" address is e9a4f6 which is in A2065 autoconfig address)

What a2065 driver? Only with CSPPC?

Yes. PowerPC kernel keeps running after it has been started. WarpOS seems to stop the PPC CPU after it becomes idle.

Tried CSMK3 and MK2, too, same fault.

BPPC does not even boot, sits there with black screen and 90% CPU.

It works without accelerator.

This is b11 bug. Fixed in b12 and winuae.zip fixes vhd bug.

I got it "running".
The problem i think was the option "CDFS automount CD/DVD drives" was checked.

Now i have managed to boot from floppydisk with accelerator-scsi (cypppc.device) for hdf and cd(-emulation).
This works, tests will go on.

I was able to mount another hdf but it had to be set to ide1, also worked when I used CSPPC scsi for the second hdf however crashed when I accessed the files. I posted in the ppc thread.

Also the hdf on ide1 had to be mounted in os4.1 using the mounted tool. I've not tried the latest beta though.

Tony, I know you don't care about OS 4.1 Classic, but the Commodore 2065 driver from Aminet here:

http://aminet.net/dev/misc/sana2_v2.lha

Does not crash the internet connection wizard, it just gives an error "failed to open device". I added the driver to the 68k JIT blacklist in OS 4.1 Classic (Prefs/Compatibility) so it is not running in 68k JIT. At least that is better than the two other C= 2065 drivers on aminet:

http://aminet.net/search?query=2065

ethernet.lha and a2065v216a.lha, both of which grim reaper the internet connection wizard.

I have it setup in WinUAE the 2065 as "cable disconnected". I'm not sure what the SLIRP options are.

Beta 12:

- Updated CHD support, uncompressed CHD write support added, can be mounted as read-write hardfile. (CD subchannel support may or may not work, there does not appear to be easy way to convert ccd/sub/img combination to chd)
Toni, I have a problem with CD CHD (not HD CHD) support. My selected CD image file is working on WinUAE 2.8.1 (2014.06.18) or the last beta 11 (winuae_2900b11).
If I try now to load the same image on the last beta 12 or newer version I get a crash.

Dump files are only useful from official betas, I think your dump is from winuae.zip. (edit: and, JIT enabled. JIT MUST be off)
