Best Config for a laptop to use less battery

Hi.

I'm running WinUAE on a WinX laptop. I was wondering what is the best config to use less of the battery or cpu as possible. I don't need 100% compatibility.

I normally just emulate a A1200 with 2mb fast or a A500/A600HD 68k or 68010 machine. I don't need a lot of fast RAM, 4mb is normally enough for me or use the picasso96. I normally have the sound disabled by default. My HDD partions are 20MB or smaller.

Thanks

There is not much to adjust if you use "approximate" CPU speed options, if there is nothing to do, emulator mostly sleeps. Visible RTG mode uses less CPU time than chipset mode.

Note that it can never be fully idle, there is all kinds of hardware that needs continuous emulation.

Fastest possible uses 100% CPU all the time unless CPU idle option is adjusted.

Hi. Thanks Toni for the advice. So no copper bashing with the RTG. I'll disable the fastest possible as well.
