Purchased my first A1200!

I've found this A1200 in one of the local ads, drove 250km (back and forth) to see it, inspect it and eventually, bring it back with me.

It's a basic model, 2MB chip ram, I added recently purchased 4GB IDE CF (Amigakit.com, took 4 business days to get it!) to it and already have some (working) WHD installs on her.

I also checked the inside, far from expert but the capacitors look ok, not bloated and not leaking. I was slightly worried at the begining as I had some issues with sound (you could hear the floppy ticking sound as if it was emulated in TV). I thought it was one of the chips, but it turns out, it was PSU (used A600 PSU which is light as a feather compared to heavy PSU that came with this Amiga).

Anyway, that's it, here's a picture:

P.S.
I missed on the first batch of Petro's Amigas and was planning to wait untill June untill this A1200 showed up in the local ads and the price was ok (and I could test it myself before paying for it).

I notified Petro and thanked him once again for all his efforts.

It's like having a new puppy at home!
You probably need to upgrade the RAM or CPU with RAM to make it more snappy and perfect for WHDLoad games.

^^Will do so in time.
Considering trapdoor expansion memories are rare these days, will prolly have to save for an accelerator.

Don't rush. The more time you spend playing with a basic A1200 the more money you will gather for a better accelerator
