Parallel Worlds Amiga Amiten Software Inc.

Hello Amigans,

Here I´m with this idea :

I would like to make a new Amiga Game(oh no!! one more in my List ,) code in Amos and I have ready start With some stuff

The Game want to be an Easy Playable Game and I would like to do together with other people who enjoy the risk of make games.

so here is what i have done at the moment, I hope others will get on board and enjoy.

Parallel Worlds
Amiga Version
Target: Amiga 500 + Expansion Memory total 1MB

Actually there is a 900x200 background in 64 EHB colours
A 320x512 Ham Laced image for start part
Some ripped sprites and a intro sound sequence play by my self in piano*

I think a Ivanhoe style game would be the target of the game but any other
Style will be possible.

The scroll goes 9 pixel speed and its very smooth at the moment
For save memory I use Amos flip ($8000) for left movement of Plyr1
There is a little jump with a little scroll up

I attach the Game and sources for you can start to help.

There is 2 sources at the moment:

ParallelWorlds.Amos (Run Fine in Amiga 500 With 1MB)

ParallelWorldsSpeed.Amos ( same but Little bit Faster Scroll )

of course you need Amos Professional to see the Game in this stage.

Every thing still to do, we need help of musicans, gfx artist, coders etc...

and yes its ripped sprites and no original background pics but I not have
the skills and also the time for made that original, so I thinks there is a
nice touch with these ones and let us start playing with the Concept.

The game looks good at the moment for me and runs in Amiga 500 with 1MB

ok now I wait for some one else who want to join in this aventure...

the preview of the concept in youtube [ Show youtube player ]

Best regards.

Suggestion: you have a well saturated and contrasted character; keep at the same level of saturation the platforms and interactives, and lower the detail and saturation of the background.
To lower the detail, in the background, you can try to posterize and then overlay with a color or few color, separating different areas, in particuar sky from structures and greenery.

Also, the platforms should be redrawn in the style of the character: they are not good if too confused with the background.

Good luck!

Well Friends Here is the Parallel Worlds .ADF Version Bootable with Source and Compiled EXE with Actually Development in course.

Just insert the ADF in your emulator and boot from it or better burn in a floppy and lets your Amiga 500 Savor this fresh stuff.

There is a lot of work Remain to do but who want with this .ADF can test what I have in mind with this Game.

I hope with this more people are encouraged to get on board and help this adventure has a happy ending.

without compromise, without stress, everything is clear and open from the first line of code, and all will continue so to the end.

I just hope that in this way more people can follow this model of production of new quality games for our classical computers, and not wait for miracles to occur rather actually make them ourselves.

P.D. The .ADF file is in The Zone

Don't take it badly, I'm all for enthusiasm and it's all harmless fun, but you make it sound like this "model of production" does the miracles you were waiting for... as long as you know moving ripped sprites on a ripped background is not making a miracle game...

Is there something else in the demo? I see only one sprite moving in a ripped background.

Amiten, I fail to understand why you do not focus on a single project, as Amivania, rather than starting a new one every time without finishing the other.

For the rest, both Parallel Worlds as Amivania they look great

entirely true, I do not say that parallel worlds is a miracle, rather than several people working together is the way to make a good game.

but of course the language barrier always been my problem. I see that the google translator is not very good.

on the other hand even though I asked for help to develop the game in several places, for now I'm alone for all.

to follow so I'm afraid that everything was as it . is a shame for even being ripped graphics are a great graphics ripped to an Amiga 500, moving deliciously that's how I see it.

a greeting

Warning Spanglish here!

No mate, no more on there - Just what you see about 50 or more lines of code some hours ripeando graficos y otras cuantas montando lo que ves.

Yes for me too looks great, more when I see in 1084s monitor me encanta como se ve y se mueve.

Reconozco my problem de no acabar or focus in one game, but everything have his time of cooking and one day one of my games gonna be finish and playable no lo dudes, solo que by my way

Saludos Vitux

Thank you, just few words from me
- I think slashing frame animation is visible too long
- barrels have visible white dots from background
- meat is too big
- even simple pixel-art background will be better than photo-style or maybe try with dithering

Some feedback...

- The backgrounds look great. Really impressive.
- The monsters take too many hits to kill. I'd die of boredom killing swarms of those
- The text on the title screen is too futuristic for a fantasy theme

Keep going with it, though!

Very good. Its got a certain charm about it.

The opening line 'Good moning' had me falling about with laughter but also completely hooked me due to the spelling mistake but Im not sure you should correct it (It should be 'Good Morning') as people will always remember the game for a long time after for that reason alone.
