Question Does anybody remember ZERO Magazine?

Or even better: Is there anybody on this site that actually worked for Zero?

The reason I ask is that towards the end of production of the mag, I think it was about the last 3 or 4 issues, the format totally changed, and in my opinion, it went badly downhill!

I was wondering why they changed it?

I remember it yes .. Even got the 1st few of issues in pristine condition up it me attic.

I remember it being well layed out, very glossy, lotsa piccys, etc...

Was good .. but then for some unknown reason i stopped buying it .. cant remember why. (just bored with the current games etc... i think)

Ahhh...

I remember it well, David 'Macca' McCandless, Ludwig Ledbury (Letters page!), their affinity for Gyles Brandeth and amusing captions by the pictures.

When the format changed, thats when I stopped buying it, it turned into C&VG, a comic!

The reason they changed was because they had dropped Atari ST support, and were focusing more on consoles, so they felt that they had to look like the other console mags.

Shame, because I religiously bought it every month.

Yeah, that makes sense.

I've still got all my issues copies in a drawer at home.

Critics Corner is still worth a read once every 5 years or so.
