help to remap keyboard

Hi everybody, I'm trying to make whdload working with my mamecab.

Right now I have one last problem (I hope), the keyboard configuration.

My config is like the jpac board but the 1 2 3 buttons (the fire buttons) are different (I don't use Lctrl - alt - etc. but I prefer Z X C)

Unfortunatelly when I edit the Input keys (x-arcade right and left) the games ignore it.

For example I used Bubble Bobble, the second player is ok, but there is now way to shot the ball for the player one with the Z key, it's always the LCTRL key that shot the ball.

Tried to enable and disable the controller but nothing change.

There are three colums in the input section for every type of controller:
NAME - INPUT - NEW INPUT
if I change the values in the NEW INPUT the games still use the settings of the colums INPUT.
