Built-in Hrtmon won't save
Hi.
Not sure if this is the correct place but... If you create a blank disk in winuae, then enter hrtmon and try to save some memory to the disk, hrtmon totally freaks out, the screen shakes constantly and 'illegal name' is displayed when return is pressed. Does anyone know if it is possible to save memory from hrtmon to a disk created by winuae? I just want to dump some code from a program for Resourceing! Many thanks. |

I solved this trouble by unchecking the Cycle-exact box under Hardware/Chipset/Options/. The syntax I used was S "name" 3000 4000.
Failing that, you still have built-in WinUAE debugger that will do. |

Still didn't save but as you said, the WinUAE debugger works (must admit I totally forgot about it). Doh! |

Reason for this was quite stupid..
UAE HRTMon is mapped at special address (0x00A10000->) which is not RAM normally (CIA space) -> cycle-exact instruction fetches were instant -> fun side-effects.. |
