ACDSee works. I'm using version 3.1 which is really old. It is totally compatible with Windows Xp. It works with Vista and 7 but has a few glitches.

I use ACDSee Classic too. I love it, have used it for at least ten years. I never change it.

Do they work with HAM modes ?

As I normally use PSP5 --- But it can't handle them.

The Windows version of Directory Opus can display IFF files and convert them to other image formats. You can also view them in the thumbnail grid mode like any other image type.

I use Paintshop Pro 8 for normal iff pics or a tool called RecoilWin for HAM pictures.

PSP8 is not longer avauilable and you can get recoil here...
http://recoil.sourceforge.net/

There is also an iff plugin for Paint.NET.But it does not open all files and can't save.

XnView however "dynamic hires" are supported only partially (NTSC) and in limited number modes.

A quick (very simple, I know) solution, even for dynamic hires and HAM pictures, would be making a screenshot of WinUAE's display and then edit/crop/etc. it with Photoshop or other advanced editing program.

But this could not be very comfortable if the number of files to convert is big.

Quicker and more comfortable is convert IFF on emulated Amiga to 24 bit IFF ILBM - there is no better and more accurate way to deal with various unique Amiga features.

(i use HamLab Plus for this, AFAIR is kind of abandonware)

If somebody needs the German PSP8, send me an email or PM and you can get a download link for the free trial version of PSP 8.10 and the update to 8.103 plus my selfmade registry entry to expand the 90 day trial for eternity

Or ask Google for Jasc and PSP8

I had a similar plan. But i wasn't brave enough to enter that kind of "twilight zone".

No, there is nothing done in the twilight zone. I'm not spreading any full version of PSP8, nor do I offer any illegal licence key for this program. It's just a registry modification to change the 90 days trial period counters, because PSP8 obviously cannot handle large negative numbers like $80000000 correctly. Nobody can prohibit a user to change some entries in his registry.
