just order a new disk driveand cable for the amiga 1200
for amiga 1200 as disk drive his play up

Are you sure your drive is dead? Did you try to use early startup menu with your A500 disk? You can press both mouse buttons on a reset. Disabling the CPU caches can help for some games.
