AmigaOne question...
Does the AmigaOne boot as quick as the original Amiga, or is it more like a PC? One thing I would like to see is OS4 boot up completely in about 6 seconds after powering the machine on. Would this be possible on an expanded A4000?

Only god (and the OS4 betatesters) know, for a current A1 user, the boot time is high, since they have to boot a Linux flavour, and the Linuxes take a while to load, none of the good ole "boot in 4 seconds" stuff we Amiga users are used to.

Initial boot takes around 30-40 seconds, but a warm reset takes about 7-8 seconds, but this is with a slow PIO 0 ide setup, the udma driver is being worked on...

The computer for the creative mind. I don't think anyone is as creative as he was Do you picture god trying to design his bloody earth on paper? Even less, on an IBM? OF course not, he drafted it completely in Deluxe Paint |
