Yes, my drive only supports overread into-Lead in and that caused problems (EAC Sync error) with the last audio track (combined with the positive read-offset value of my drive), so I had to turn that option off. I am not sure if this option has anything to do with audio quality though.
Nice quick-guide, Retro-Nerd. It is worth reading the audio-caching issues mentioned on the more in-depth guide, since turning that option off in EAC, can speed-up the rip and, possibly, even prolong the drive's lifespan.

You maybe lose a few samples, filled with silence. But i wouldn't worry about it.
