How to active Clipboard client-host?

hi there,

I wonder, if there is a command to enable the clipboard function (like in WinUAE), so that one could copy information (like text or so) from the client (Workbench projects) to a text editor on the host (windows PC) ?

cheers

you can try to use the configuration value of winuae in your fs-uae configuration file.
for the clipboard you can try:
clipboard_sharing=true
or try:
uae_clipboard_sharing=true

for those winuae variables you have to add the uae_ prefix in fs-uae.

no idea if this will work.

clipboard_sharing=true was the right command (WinUAE), but seems to have no effect in FS-UAE

Exclamation FS_UAE Feture Request: #Clipboard#

hello,

I may ask if it will be possible to add a clipboard functionalty, like in WinUAE.
So we can copy text and such from host to client and vice versa...

clipboard_sharing=true was the command (WinUAE) but it´s not working with FS-UAE 2.6

cheers!

Clipboard sharing requires host-specific code, the WinUAE-specific code for that does not work in FS-UAE. The Amiga-side implementation should be good though.

Please provide minimal step-by-step instructions on how I can test/use the clipboard sharing from inside Workbench. What (minimally) software to install/configure, etc. I just want to know how I can test the feature when I have implemented it, with the least amount of work on my part...

Mark text using mouse in shell, press ramiga-C or ramiga-V.

Yes, that´s the way to test it. or open a text-editor in windows and on amiga workbench and try to copy&paste text between them. You just need WB1.3 main for this

Please try the new 2.7.15dev version

Add the following to the config to test clipboard sharing:
Code:
clipboard_sharing = 1
(Works, but I've only tested it on Linux/x11)

hi,

I can confirm, bi-directional clipboard works on Win7 64bit, also!

but, I noticed a big performance hit! before, sysinfo got me:

around 130.000 Dhrystones, 136,33 Mips and 10,62 MFlops with latest stable version.

Now, with 2.7.15dev I get:

around 20.000 Dhrystones, 21,02 Mips and 2,11 MFlops (!)

I tested twice, but it seems 2.7.15 performs a lot (x6 times) worse, than the stable release.

If you can fix this, would be fine

Ehm, latest stable is 2.8.0 by now and 'clipboard_sharing = 1' works here (Ubuntu 14.04) for OS3.9.
However at first step I tried true instead of 1 and this way it didn't work.

It, however doesn't work with my OS1.3 installation (tried latest Devpac for OS1.3 which AFAIK uses clipboard.device).

Is there any chance making it work for OS1.3, too?
I didn't try my OS4.1FE installation yet, since QEMU PPC plugin can't be found anymore. Have to investigate that first.

UPDATE: I fixed the PPC plugin issue by installing the latest stable all-in-one PPC plugin. Clipboard sharing doesn't work with OS4.1FE. Tried with AmigaDOS Shell in both directions.
