Need tips on good ECS/OCS demos

Have started using my '030 turbo powered A500+ again and would like to run some ecs/ocs demos on it but not so familiar with that sort of demos so I wonder if someone can tell me which one's that I should start with and if there are any that will push my 40mhz A500?

Here are some ECS demos I like to run on my A500:

Technological Death - good music, nice "walking cube", fast!
Desert Dream - great music, best parts are after Egypt intro
Arte - amazing artwork
Day of Reckoning - I love the dots changing to shapes (some problems, no WHD install for this)
Lethal Exit - short, but great music, nice copper "jelly cube"

I've got lots of other great demos on my A500 HD, but I'd have to look at them again to see why I liked them.

Thanks

d/l some ecs/ocs demos from the ADA website yesterday but about half of them would run on my A500...guess the older demos are even more picky when it's about turbocards, fastmem and kickstart 3.1
I'm glad to see that some have been whdloadified

Yes, even some of the ones with WHDload installs won't work properly. The amazing "video-like" Fairlight 142 worked perfectly on my unexpanded A500, but I still can't get it working after the upgrade (WHDload just exits). A lot of the demos slow down or get jerky when WHDload installed (but it's better than not having them run at all)

Try running Technological Death WHDload with Caches. It will fail near the end, but this is closer to the original incredible speed.

Other good ECS demos:

State of the Art - fast dance demo
Colors - nice colourful vector objects
CopperMaster - old, but nice copper effects
Hardwired - interesting intro
Wicked Sensation - nice "jelly objects", boesendo piano mod

Try "World Of Commodore" and "Interference" by Sanity for some great, well coded effects.

Also "Goya" by Nature is a great demo for showing off some chucky effects on OCS.

And for some more 'modern' OCS entertainment try "Major Release" by Da Jormas.

You can find all of these on Pouet...

I like the often forgotton RamJam demo (no not the Italian ones)

BudBrain demo is good.

Lemon.

Scoopex Mental Hangover

I also loved The Silents CARD demo.

I dont know if there are any demo's that push accelerated OCS/ECS system?

Too true . I had forgotten that too - I have it on my HD, but no folder icon so I didn't know it was there. It's strange that I missed it because I only have about 25-30 demos. I like the rotating disk box and disk, zooming girl image and ending. It has nice music too.

I wish I could take the bits and pieces that I like out of the demos and either run them individually or together in one giant demo (with my music of choice). Usually I only like 3 or 4 things in each demo.

Also, does anybody know where I can get images from demos? You can get the music, but has anyone stripped out the artwork? I suppose you could take a screenshot in WinUAE, but I don't have a PC.

There are a few. Wormhole by Complex is the first that comes to mind:

Also 40kb Tracktro by Arise and Drinks. Some of the effects are enhanced on accelerated Amigas, such as the double dottunnel becoming a triple dottunnel.

Also don't miss Arte by Sanity, which is not only a great demo in its own right, but I think the 3D scene during the end credits should benefit nicely from your accelerator.
