NDOS? No I just wana play a game

Hi,

alot of my games in adf format wont recognise in winUAE.

on workbench it says NDOS.

Can anyone advise me of what the prob may be as it has me puzzled (as eva haha)

You cannot run them from Workbench, try booting from the diskimage instead.

You need to boot them

NDOS means they have to Amiga DOS file system on them, so you can't see the contents of the disk in Workbench. Just put the disk in DF0 and boot your (emulated) Amiga

Probably not really, i thing.
But with the help of XAD-package and XFD-package you can extact/unpack files straight from disk.

Something like that is actually impossible because these filesystems are custom made, i.e. they all (can) have a different format for storing files etc. In some cases it's possible like f.e. Sensible Software games as they use a fairly simple format and tools have been coded to read the contents of suchs disks. Without coding knowledge you will have a hard time to extract data from most NDOS games.

JOTD create some tools for ripping files for example from Psygnosis disks (from originals only).

Since the answer, in the end, is nope, why i can find some cracktro of NDOS disk ?

For example the 'Allo 'Allo Cartoon Fun cracktro of Crystal is inside an ADF that is NDOS

As you've read, there are some exemptions.
It is possible, to extract even executable files from a NDOS-disk, especially
crack and trainer intros.
But, i think most time it is impossible to make a working Amiga DOS version
of a NDOS-disk.(without Coders ability).

Yes, just load the adf into a HEX editor.
