Database Update

I thought it might be a good idea to keep everyone updated on the progress of the database.

There are two main databases - the Cody one and the Twistin' one. Mine will form the base of the database and Twistin' will add/edit information to add further yummy richness.

The database currently has:

- 2964 entries, but I still need to add some MIA games and many compilations, as well as new games that I've found.
- Double Barrel Screenshots (DBS) for all the games.
- Nearly 1000 alternative screenshots, courtesy of Walker.
- Other stuff.

It currently only does commercial games.

I've recently added all WHDLoad information and I'm currently doing an audit of all the games to find information that I missed before or find out new information.

Erm.. I've done 5 games so far in the re-audit (1000cc Turbo -> 1st Division Manager). But, I'll do a lot more this weekend!

22/11 : Added 46 screenshots

27/11 : Grabbed 11 new screens

Expect that 2964 number to increase significantly, as I have been building a stash of wildly obscure commercials games to further torture Cody's root infrastructure foundation. Each day draws closer to the flood of games he will have to hammer in there, so there is a dual-audit happening here.

Just to say you that the admin interface is now finished !
The beta-test will end during the next week, so we will be able to really add the informations into the database

The most difficult part of the dev if now finished, all the next will be piece of cake for us, plus many hours of informations research

I've been doing some more auditing and checking of the database, as well as doing more work on the publisher/developer section.

We've come up with a proper name too - more soon!

I'm also scanning in game boxes - 270 out of about 500 so far. And checking info in the database.

Will you have easily accessible lists of missing box scans, disk scans, games, etc. so that users can contribute?

Latest snapshot:

- 3382 entries, all of them are in the online db now.
- About 2450 additional screens

We're currently adding missing information, scanning boxes and doing research to straighten out question marks.

It's pretty slow in the land of HOL with summer vacations and everything, but here's some of the latest stats:

Game entries: 3522
Screenshots: 6072 (DBS's + additional screens)
Box scans: 1498 (front- and back scans)

Expect the game counter to increase significantly as we dig deeper into the dark caves where the Twistin Ghost hides.
We haven't scanned all boxes in our private collections yet, so this figure will grow pretty much as well.
