Classic WB and Softkick Roms..

Hi,

I have just found this section on the site and the Classic WB looks pretty good. Would I be able to run this on my real Ami? I have 030, 8 meg ram and ECS but 2.0 roms in the machine (A1500).. I softkick into 3.1 which works well and lets me run WB 3.1 fine. Would this work with Classic WB? Can I just add Skick into the startup sequence like I already do?

Would rather get some feedback before I blow away everything!

I've never tried, but can't imagine why it wouldn't work. Not sure if Scalos would mind the softkick, I doubt it though.

My advice would be to try it in an emulator first. For instance, setup WinUAE with a config similar to yours (kickstart 2.0, ECS, same CHIP/FAST RAM) and see how far you get.

Thanks, will give it a go on UAE first. I've only had two programs faili when softkicking and I think its because they try and patch the rom, Basilisk and New Icons..Even OS 3.9 worked but it looked ugly with ECS
