Lightbulb Help, need a CWB refresher please!

Hi all,

It's neen a while since I have used CWB, or any of my amigas for that matter, due to moving, divorce blah blah blah! lol.
Anyhow I have just installed CWB 68k on my A600 in preperation for when I get my ACA630.
I have tried searching the forum, but can only find some of the info I need.
I have downloaded all KG's whdload games and demos and want to get them going in CWB.
I have a CF as a hdd which is mountable in UAE, so the question is what do I do with the packs now?
I recall there is a script which adds them to a launcher, but where do I put them in CWB and do they need unzipping in CWB as winblows will probably error due to filenames etc.

Sorry for the n00b questions, its been a while since i last did all this on my A1200!

Thanks

Yes, it would be nice to have some answers from someone who knows better.

For example, I would use only 300 MB for System partition DH0 and Games, Temp, AND MYFiles I would like to have on the other partition, DH1 Work, for example.

How to transfer them there? Do i need to make new assigns? Do I need to edit WHDload files, user startup, or something else?

Maybe I can manage myself but it will take much time to catch all strings, but some Guru can solve this issues in a second by just pointing me (us) to right direction.

Thank you.

I think you guys should start by watching the tutorial vids and read the webpage, then come back with what's still unclear.

http://classicwb.abime.net/classicweb/tutorials.htm

A lot of what you have asked is in the vids and on the webpage.

I remember on my A1200 setup that i had to edit a file to point it to my 2nd partition DH1 where i out all the demos and games, but its been so long i cant remember how i did it!

look in S: there is a assign-startup or something like that where you assign a-games and a-demos.

Later,

No problem, I never read manuals either! Plus as you said, a lot has changed since you last used the packs.

First video speaks for itself.

You are the king.

Thank you.

Edit: Just one more info needed. Which game packs do you use for extracting? Tosec or something else?

Hi amigappc, the packs in the video are from the KGWHDLoad project:

http://wiki.abime.net/games/whdload/games

There are a few links there.
