A1200 and B1230 Voltage Measurements for Dummies?
Hi all,
I want to see if my Blizzard B1230 MK4 processor card that is attached to the replacement mother board rev.2B receives sufficient voltage to +5 V branch. I have downloaded the A1200 schematics, but it is too complicated for me. I would be very grateful if someone could advise me exactly where to attach the multimeter probes to determine voltage on the mother board and on the Blizzard B1230? Picture of particular areas would be great Thank you in advance! |

you attach the probes to the floppy power cable, and measure the 5 volt rail.
you dont need the schematics for that. besides 030 cards dont really use alot of power compared to 040 or ppc cards at the end of the day if it works it dont need any more. it should be around ~4.85-5.25 volts. |

Thanks, will try it today's evening.
So I checked the voltage and it showed me 4.89 volts. I don't know how accurate the measurement was becouse I used cheap multimeter mede in China but It should be OK...? I'm not sure whether it is enough for example for Blizzard PPC but is it OK also for Blizzard 1260? What should I do to check voltage which goes from PSU to motherboard?
