Speed throttle

I'm having problems with a number of games. For some reason some games are running at the expected speed, while others, such as super ski 2, are running incredibly fast. The fps display always displays 49 to 50 fps and yet the games still run incredibly quick.

Is there a setting somewhere that may force the games to run at the speed you would expect them to run at instead of hyperspeed? I tried Vsync, even though I wasn't sure what it does, but that seemed to make no difference. So I figured I would ask rather than risk pressing the wrong thing and making things worse.

Most likely reason is incorrect (too fast) Amiga hardware configuration. FPS display shows emulated display hardware refresh rate which does not have anything to do with emulated CPU speed.

Does it still happen if you use A500/A2000 Quickstart-configuration?

The trouble is that all the games are WHDLoad versions. So as far as I know (and I am new to this so be gentle if I'm wrong) I have to use the A1200 setup along with WB3.1

If the Amiga type is the problem then I will see about getting the .adf versions instead so I can play them on the regular settings.

Ok.. 68020+ CPU modes don't have any speed limiter and both chip ram and fast ram have exactly the same speed. You can try adjusting CPU/Chipset-slider in CPU-panel or ticking Cycle exact in Chipset-page (WARNING: in 68010+ CPU configurations ce-mode is crappy hack. It will cause compatibility problems)

Anyway, your problem is caused (at least in theory) by buggy WHDLoad slave
