CLI programs to unpack tar files:

http://aminet.net/package/util/pack/UntarV1_11
http://aminet.net/package/util/arc/untgz

A GUI for unpacking archives:

http://aminet.net/package/util/arc/Voodoo-X

(don't forget to install the requirements first)

Go on there my son A new thread indeed. What's freaking happening. Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp

You know leytond, looking on aminet or just googling around usually gets the stuff you require. Most the stuff I've got is because I spent thousands of years, I mean, a couple of years, googling and got almost everything I needed 'n' that's why I hardly request anything. Then again, you are new to the Amiga and you're not really sure what you're looking for.

Search the board first, you may find others have started similar threads to what you are wanting to start too, saves a little time + it doesn't give the mods a headache

The LHA file in System:c is used to unpack the files and this really need to be the latest, I think. I'm not sure if powerpacker was able to unpack these files, I'm pretty sure it was just a file cruncher to save disk space, so ignore what I've just said.

If you type in a cli, DH0:C/LHA it will give you the version of LHA + how to utilise it

If your version is too old, then search on aminet for a newer version.

NSTALLATION
************

1. Extract the archive to a temporary directory:

> cd RAM:
> lha x MCC_NList.lha

2. Go to the "MCC_NList/Libs/MUI/<OS>" directory where <OS> is the directory
matching the operating system you want to install the NList classes for,
e.g.:

> cd MCC_NList/Libs/MUI/AmigaOS4

3. Copy all the #?.mcc and #?.mcp files found in that directory to the
global "MUI:libs/mui/" directory on your system partition.

> copy #?.mcc MUI:Libs/mui/
> copy #?.mcp MUI:Libs/mui/

4. Reboot and enjoy the new version

Dunno about your blood pressure, but take it easy man It's just a retro machine after all and should be fun If it's getting too much, just fire up a game and relax

Edit : <OS> = AmigaOS3 for you.
