EAB Multi Platform League - Round 6 - Game Vote (MD)

Voting starts now (10.05.2009) and will end next Saturday (16.05.2009) :

- Vote for five games.
- Your first choice gets 5 points, second 4 pts, third 3 pts, fourth 2 pts, fifth 1 pt.
- Remember to choose games suitable for competition play. If you don't, then you will get the treat of a PM from me, asking you to change your vote. If you still don't change it your vote will be discounted. If you aren't sure feel free to ask.
- Edited votes will be discounted (unless you are told to edit it, and even then you can only edit the game(s) that aren't suitable) - so think before you post. Also you cannot vote for games that have already been played.

(Courtesy of Graham )

The system you can choose games from for round 6 is : MegaDrive/Genesis

Gimme all your votes

P.S. : There is no double voting power anymore

  4. Raiden
  5. Battle Squadron

TIP: how about a link in the initial post for a HOL style Megadrive site? (yes, im lazy)

California Games - Play all events, best score!

Skidmarks - If it gets close ill think about it then, these types of games normally require racing for times!

and the F-Zero has worked out fine!!

Going trough the net, I find that there are TWO sites that come close to being a HOL, but not quite as good, I'm afraid...

Genesis Collective
--------------------
http://www.genesiscollective.com/ShowGames.php

And Sega-16
--------------
http://www.sega-16.com/master_list.php?sys=Genesis

Here's my list of games btw:

1. Devils Crash/Dragon's Fury ( same game, different regions. dunno' which one is better. DF is the one I've played, and it was SWISH.)
2. Vectorman
3. Sonic And Knuckles ( never played this one, which means I've only played HALF of Sonic 3!)
4. Gunstar Heroes
5. Thunder Force IV

Filling in list... please hold...

Also, don't forget to check out the MEGADRIVE TOP 100!! It's a lot like the Lemon list, except there is only one man behind it, and he's played every single game, ( apparently he OWNS almost all of them!) and written a little intro-piece to all of them.

http://retro-sanctuary.com/TOP%20100...0page%203.html

Btw... Mihcael... could you please remove the Raiden you have in your list? We've already played that on the TG-16.

Is it so hard to choose games where you can easily just score points and progress in an easy, transparent way and I don't even have to be summing up and making averages of sexagesimal values and stuff like that?

1. Gunstar Heroes
2. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (playing with Sonic alone)
3. M.U.S.H.A.
4. Shinobi 3
5. Streets of Rage 2 (standard settings)

I think not, but some people seem to prefer games that haven't got an easy point system I have no problem with racing games (well maybe besides the fact that I don't like them ), as long as the mode is playable for everybody (which would mean to race against the clock most of the time...).

Me neither if they have a decent scoring system, like on Roadkill or Lotus 2 !!
But I also think the best games for this sort of competition are score-attack based games, Raiden was an awesome choice for a game to play, for example. Games thatreward exra skill and unlocking of point-giving fetures are always best, but these tend to be shmups.
