I believe that is just a Zorro slot inline with a video slot. The custom I/O board does look like it may have some processing capabilities though. Perhaps DSP and/or FPGA processing?

These are the technical characteristics of GVP TekMagic 060 Aka G-Force 060 assembled on the A4000.

Was that the machine that ended up with the 3210(?) DSP C= wanted to use in the 3000++?

Its a normal A4kT board, nothing to do with the A3000+/AA3000.

The Ti T320xx DSP's were quite popular back then even, nothing terribly CBM exclusive ;-)

No it runs on Amiga Workbench 3.1. It has own startup sequence starting the application right after the start. It is stock 3.1 with some additional drivers in the Devs like dsp.device and others.

I was refering something I think Dave Haynie said, that some ex-C= engineer had made a Zorro card that was using the very same AT&T DSP3210.

Anyway, has anyone tried buying an ultrasound machine for parts? A bit of googling shows a potential for good or fair-priced buys.

Now I'm confused. Perhaps I've confused myself. I've been flip-flopping back and forth in my mind over this a few times in my head the last months/years, but now I have finally connected the left and right halves:

Eric Lavitsky said in the Amiga30 talk that the ATL HDI 1000 was using the same dsp (i.e. the DSP3210), but when I look at the card I can't recognize any of the chips as it. Am I missing something?

According to Jack3D’s page about it there was a DSP board in one of the zorro slots.

Unlikely anyone here has been pictured in utero by this, neither your children because hdi1000 was already obsolete in the early 2000’s and was used in second half of 90’s.
Now it is only possible to find one on tertiary market like Africa, typically a device given for free to humanitarian NGO.

I lived about 5 miles up the road from ATL Ultrasound in Bothell Wa. during the time that the local dealer was supplying A4000Ts for them. When they decommissioned the ultrasound machines the A4000Ts and parts were destroyed and then thrown in the trash. From what I am told they refused to sell them to anyone. Broke my heart.
