I bought one but haven't tested it since I belong to a household which for some reason have no USB-C devices. Waiting on one from China which hopefully will fit the bill.

Anyone else got one and can share their experience?

It's expensive but well worth it, some thorough testing done on this video proves it.

I like the idea and I like the developers but at £80 delivered without USB-C charger it's just not economically viable. It must have been for some users as they are now sold out.

If you have a pimped A1200/060@100MHz and need the extra power above the stock PSU then maybe this would be the product for you but remove the spinning HDD and replace with CF/DOM and switch from 060 to PiStorm and your big power requirements are gone.

A 27W Raspberry Pi 5 PSU should be more than capable for most users needs. Maybe I'm wrong, but I doubt even heavy users would use that amount.

Yes, or 33W versions bundled with most mobile phones these days.

But that is £15 + €70 which isn't cheap for a PSU that if it works well you'll never know

I wish there were more videos like this one! Such an amazing, well informed and thorough look at this thing.

Anyway yeah, I think if you don't have a modern alternative already and although it is quite expensive, this looks much better than any other modern Amiga PSU out there, but if you have one already it's probably a miss at this price point. I am a bit worried about the thingy sticking out of the power port though, not only it reduces the clearing space behind the computer, it could potentially be prone to damage if you somehow knock the computer and something hits the Powershark.

Interesting device all-round though.

It also partially blocks the VGA port if you are using a ReAmiga 1200 board.

I have one and it is really neat. I think the trick is using a USB power supply that is 12v. I have a ton of USB power supplies around my house including my MacBook pro power supply but it turns out that none of them did 12V so I got an Amazon Basics power supply that is on their "Power Supplies We Tested" page and it works great. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087MFLLCR...roduct_details Rob's video is fantastic!

Update! I thought it was working great but I think my 1200 is just too much for the Power Shark or I need even more than the 65w power supply I mentioned above. I think my 9-pin to USB mouse adapter pushed it over the edge. I will try The Power Shark with my stock Amiga 500 and see how it does. I applaud their efforts and it is a cool device, but it seems if you have a pimped machine it may struggle. But I know I am a minority. Not many folks have an 060, LED lights connected to the clock port and a wireless mouse Hopefully it will work great with my unexpanded machines

My A1200 is powered with PowerShark without issues and needs only 14 Watts at 1.2A using a 27 Watt PSU (Raspi 5)... it might be the LEDs which needs too much power...

Yeah, I bet you are right. I am a "Special case scenario" Although my every day power supply is rated at 50w (55 max) and handles my pimped 1200 with no problem. But I bet the Shark will rock on my A500 and A1200 with ACA1233n without any LEDs

I also have a thicker gauge USB-C cable arriving today that is rated for 100w. That may help as well.

Wait til you have a pistorm with rPi4, a rgb2hdmi with rpiZero and a a314 on clockport with rpi3A+ and then some HID2AMI or mouSTer adapters on joyports for USB mouse and joypad and maybe something more attached to your amiga. All working perfectly fine with an off-the-shelf 20 EUR Meanwell RT-50B PSU and there is quite some power left too.

Can't imagine your 65W not being enough for what you describe.

Wow! That is an awesome build. I wonder why it isn't working right in my configuration. I am going to try with the 100w rated USB-C cable when it arrives. Hopefully that will help.

I have some small USB C PD modules that I plan to use to adapt various devices to USB.
These have jumpers for 9/12/15/20 but not all USB C plugs support all voltages.

e.g. My shaver charger is 15V and it's a new Philips model from Christmas.
Why isn't is USB C?

Wait, what? a 69W power supply is not enough? Wasn't this supposed to be a more efficient setup?
A much less power hungry power supply will definitely power such a system, something is wrong here. This is starting to sound like a bad idea.
