Visual C++ Runtime library error

Hi All

I am trying to getWinuae 1.43 going on my WinXPPro. The emulator boots upto a point but exits with the above error. I get to the point of opening a PAL scrren but then it exits. I think it started happening when i updated the P96 files. Any help would be appreciated

That error is generic (and useless) message when C runtime library detects an error (usually something to do with memory allocation)

Attach or email both winuaebootlog.txt and winuaelog.txt.

Try using proper version

If it still happens, set RTG RAM to zero, boot normally (it should default to normal native mode), open display prefs, set another native mode, save it, quick winuae, set RTG RAM back to normal and again use display prefs utility to switch back to P96 mode.

Setting the RTG ram to zero does let me boot into a native screen mode emulation. Following the rest of your advice doesn't fix the problem , BUT what does fix it is deleting a Picasso96setting file in either devs or prefs ( I can't remember which I did it two weeks ago but had no internet at the time). This file appears when I installed Picasso96 from the amiga side. This may help someone else with a similar problem in the future, or it may not..
