abime.net email spam!

Hey RCK!

Every now and then the only mail I receive the abime.net account is spam! What's going on with that? it's not like it is HUGE ammounts, but it'd be interesting to know. Does anybody with an abime.net address have the same problem?

What really scared me today, is that I received a spam email at one of my @kikencorp.com accounts. It was in french, and I received the exact same email at my abime.net account. What's the deal? my @kikencorp.com address is not registered anywhere, even less the EAB, or abime.net, or anything! How did they get the address through abime.net??

here is the message header for further info:

Well, you can access your website from your link.

Then from your website they can get your email.

That is how they are associated I guess.

Hence the reason I don't post a link to my website, or give anyone my email. A few people have my email, but can be trusted.

So I guess it's somebody who you've annoyed on here Akira who has signed you up for a load of sites.

Now I wonder who that could be.....maybe it's easier to list who you HAVEN'T annoyed !!! LOL

Who Hasn't Akira Annoyed - Add your name here if he hasn't annoyed you: ! (it's easier this way as ex-members Superfrog9/Marz who you have annoyed couldn't post to a "he's annoyed me" list).

Me
RCK (I guess!).

I get spam on abime.net mail too. I also got that French spam email too. Are you sure it was kikencorp.com and not just abime.net?

I used to delete a lot of spam emails, until Walker asked me if I got his last 30 emails. Oooops!

This is the strange thing, I use to get spam at abime.net as I said, but this time the SAME email arrived at BOTH addresses! And I find no relation whatsoever between the two of them.

my email address is nowhere to be found in my site. These guys use drones to search, like, they woudl scan all over and look for email addresses. My email address is embedded inside a Flash file so they can't retrieve it!

FUCK! I just noticed,... i have it in my splashpage! Im deleting it now :P How come they do such a huge effort anyway?

Smart boy, Jim . Thanks for making me notice that. It still is pretty damn strange! GAHH I hope I don't receive any more of these.

I got zero spam email on my multiple abime accounts, and when I got one, I auto send complain to abuse, postmaster & root accounts of the differents servers (snmp, replyto)

all EAB's email are hidden, but robot can check for your abime.net email from the team page...

don't know about your kikencorp spam.

Sure, they have used the drone. And I think they have also used a drone to search for sites within abime.net and further analyze them for email addresses.. >Wuite the fuckwits!!!

Please complain about these fuckwits too... I think I will have to do the same through Kiken. Can you PM me with data about who I have to email concerning this issues? I must learn

Wink

I've got this great spam killing application - I have never ever seen it let one spam email get through, and it has never killed a legitamate non-spam email.

Post your email address here and I'll email it to you:

...or if you're using Windows 2000/XP

1. Unplug computer from Internet.
2. Close ridiculously annoying 'popup bubble'.
3. Wait for disk activity to cease.
