My LCD Monitor for PC supports 50hz!

Hi Guys.

Just wanted to share this experience

I bought this new monitor from Iiyama (ProLite E2473HDS).
Surprisingly i bought it for normal everyday PC use but i discovered this monitor supports 50Hz!

I tried this in WinUAE and its Supersmooth scrolling, i still had a slight bit of screen-tearing so i turned on Vsync.

Now the emulator runs in 720x576 (50Hz, Vsync on in fullscreen) and it looks fantastic! just like real amiga smoothness

Viewsonic monitors also support 50Hz.

Congrats

I think most new monitors (with HDMI?) are 50Hz capable. Been using an HDTV myself for a couple of years now. Is the only way to use WinUAE, particularly with the new vsync mode

Now you mention it yes it has 2 HDMI ports (FullHD).. and my xbox360 can make use of the 50Hz feature too. so thats probably why its there, come to think of it

I just noticed something pretty cool! now my laptop also works on 50hz after adding a custom resolution in the Nvidia Control Panel (probably works for Ati and Nvidia cards) or any graphics card that can handle custom resolutions and refresh rates well. my laptop normally doesnt support 50hz only 60 and now its also supersmooth in WinUAE!

To be on the safe side i left the "Timing" option on "Automatic"

What model is that? Is it still available in the shops, do you recommend it?
