Reading Amiga CD on a PC

Is it possible to read a CD with Amiga files on a PC, or does it take some kind of software like WinUAE?

I'm wondering if I could completely replace my A1200 CD-drive and buy a PCMCIA/CF kit instead, to use between PC/Amiga...

PC can read Amiga CD without any problem.

Many Amiga CDs have uppercase 8.3 names when used directly on Windows.

Neat.. I guess copying files from CD to CF and use PCMCIA on the Amiga completely can replace me having a CD-drive on my Amiga then..?

Yes, it could. What I want to know is why you didn't simply try an Amiga CD on your peecee?

I am not at home the next period of time and therefore cannot check it..

So it was the choice of either asking in here, or wondering about it without being able to come to any conclusions
